The Love Song to my Life

This is possibly the best love song I've ever heard! If I had a love song for my life, this would be it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Well, it made me laugh anyway.... ENJOY! :)

Paul and Storm - Your Love Is (Love Song With Metaphor)

Found at bee mp3 search engine

My love is a butterfly
Floating sweetly through a summer field
Spreading beauty and love under the midday sun
And your love is an entomologist
Chasing me down, ensnaring me in your net
And taking me home, jabbing a pin through my guts
And mounting me on your wall
A pin
Your love is a pin through my guts

My love is a sailing ship
Seeking out a friendly shore
To cast out my anchor, happily never sail no more
And your love is the ocean that drowns me
Leaving my bones to be picked at by crabs
And bringing settlers to the New World with smallpox and influenza
And wiping out the indigenous population
Smallpox
Your love is smallpox

You are a giant redwood falling on a family of deer
You are a soaring eagle landing in a minefield
You are river rising over the downtown levees
You are Christmas in Iran

My love is a tiny puppy
Knowing only joy and trust
Greeting each new day like a miraculous gift
And your love is an underground dog-fighting ring
Catching me and keeping me in a cage
On the brink of starvation
Torturing me daily until all I that know is hate and rage
And death holds no meaning for me
Just like Christopher Walken in the end of The Deer Hunter
Christopher Walken
Your love is Christopher Walken

You can't live here

Today at the gym a friend of mine said to me as she was leaving, "You can't live here." Novel idea, isn't it? Why would I want to live here? Who in their right mind would want to live here? And yet, there was something to it.

"Exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy, happy people don't kill their husbands; they just don't." --Elle Woods

"It is exercise alone that supports the spirits, and keeps the mind in vigor." --Marcus Tullius Cicero

"Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it." --Plato

I know that the rest of the world hates exercise, but for me, it provides an escape from reality, if only for a little while. I can release and think clearly--be at one with myself. I think that sometimes we forget how closely connected the body and mind are. "You can't live here."--Oh, there are times when I think, if only I could.

Strength

"The Atonement of Jesus Christ and the healing it offers do much more than provide the opportunity for repentance from sins. The Atonement also gives us the strength to endure 'pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind,' because our Savior also took upon Him 'the pains and the sicknesses of his people' (Alma 7:11). Brothers and sisters, if your faith and prayers and the power of the priesthood do not heal you from an affliction, the power of the Atonement will surely give you the strength to bear the burden."

A Flower

It seems a flower, but not a flower,
It seems a mist, but not a mist.
It comes at midnight and leaves in the morning.
It comes as a spring dream that does not last long.
And its passing is like the morning cloud; you will find it nowhere.

M&Ms and Brownies

Thomas Moore said, "To the soul, there is hardly anything more healing than friendship." I couldn't agree more. I was having a terrible few days, lost, alone, and depressed. Having a large amount of pride and stubbornness, I refused to go to anyone for help or to even tell anyone I was having a hard time. One day I came home from a ridiculously long day of work and school to find a plate of chocolaty goodness smiling at me from the kitchen table. On top was a small note from a girl I had met not more than a week before, letting me know how much she cared. She showed me the true value of friendship, and helped me to get through a particularly difficult time in life. It doesn't take a lot to change a life for the better; for me it just took a brownie mix a few M&Ms, and the love of a friend. To Pasha, thank you for helping to heal my heart!
